Our Ropey Friendship Circle met in 2018 while attending the vast array of BDSM and Shibari events that Brisbane, Gold Coast and Northern NSW had to offer, since then we’ve grown close through our love of Japanese Rope Art and all things kinky!
In these last 6 exciting years we’ve travelled and performed Shibari shows in different rigger/rope bottom combinations around Australia at music festivals, events, performance nights, music gigs, BDSM play parties, swingers parties, queer balls and more.
Since 2020 the BDSM/Shibari scene in Queensland started to lose many of its amazing events and spaces we once adored, so to keep enjoying our love of Shibari together we’ve spent the last couple of years meeting fortnightly to skillshare, practice and explore together. Our 2 year dream in the making was what we have now called, ROPE HAUS!
Our dream with Rope Haus is to grow a community where we can all learn, explore and enjoy Shibari as well many other kinks in a consent positive, accessible and inclusive learning environment.
Our workshops will start off by building your foundational skill-set with a strong focus on consent, safety, negotiation & aftercare.
As the months go on and we start to see our community grow, we will be adding workshops to delve deeper into Shibari.
